In Char Dham yatra, devotees visit the four Hindu religious places in Uttarakhand state of India. Besides this, people also travel to Hemkund Sahib in the neighborhood, which is one of the highest situated religious places in the country. Therefore, pilgrims visit all these places in aspiration of washing away their sins and to attain salvation, by the blessings of the Lord.
